Along the coast of Cornwall we have many spectacular beaches and walks. If you just want
a quiet day on the beach, Hayle offers 3 miles of golden sand stretching from the town, along the Gwithian Towans to
Godrevy Head. Just the otherside of this headland is a small cove called Fishing Cove, where those of you who like to strip
off completely can enjoy the delights of a sheltered cove, where we have often seen seals etc play just off the shore.
Both these beaches around 5/10 minutes drive from us.
For those who are keen to explore other beaches there are many
dotted around the coast from St Ives bay right around to Mounts bay and beyond to Falmouth.
Other beaches we have visited
and you may enjoy include:-
Lelant, Porthminster, Porthmeor all around St Ives
Coves along the North Coast towards
St Just are Zennor, Gurnards Head and Pendeen to name 3.
Between St Just and Lands End there is Cape Cornwall and
Sennen beach.
Coming round on the South Coast again there are many coves and beaches towards Penzance but 2 of the best
are Porthcurno and the nudist beach just on from there at PednVounder.
From Mounts Bay and the beach at Marazion the
coast goes round with many coves down to Lizard Point and then around to Falmouth, for further information on these please
ask.
For walking we would suggest the coastal paths which are very spectacular in any weather. There are many inland
footpaths aswell and we have books and maps you can look at to suggest where to walk.
We have several walks around us
which we like to do from short 30 min walks to an hour or so in the countryside around us.
One of the walks with lovely
views is up to Carn Brea, one of the highest points in the area with great views down over nearby Camborne and Redruth out
towards the North Coast.
